Zimbabwe in deadly conflict with wildlife as animals attack

by News Update

Officials in Zimbabwe’s national parks received more than 1,000 distress calls last year from people whose villages were being trampled by elephants.
And so far this year, dozens of people have been killed in animal attacks.
Al Jazeera’s Haru Mutasa reports from Hwange National Park, where communities have started relying on their own methods to keep animals away.

How sad! Bezos has that much money in his couch cushions but for lack of pocket change Zimbabwe can't move the troublesome elephants.

I am happy to here that the population of elephants has increased but I am sad for the farmers 😢😞. There must be a solution to this without having to kill.

It's interesting how it feels to get out and see those animals and to be used to that . Why ppl who can would not move there and make those ppl more rich? live is to short for riches i guess.

I love animals and wildlife, but when they over populate and become a threat to the lives of local inhabitants, there is only one solution – culling. God GAVE US domain/authority over all animals on the earth (not the other way around as some people would want us to believe) and if they threaten our lives and survival, the solution becomes even more obvious. Culling, to reduce the wildlife populations.
