Thousands of protesters flooded the streets of Washington, D.C., on Saturday to protest U.S. President Donald Trump and his newest Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
Demonstrators marched towards the U.S. Supreme Court to show their opposition to the move by Trump to appoint a third judge to the court just weeks away from the presidential election on Nov. 3.
The march comes as the U.S. Senate prepares to vote on the confirmation of Barrett to replace the late Justice Ruther Bader Ginsburg.
Barrett’s confirmation would give the court a 6-3 conservative majority. Republicans have a 53-47 majority in the Senate, making Barrett’s nomination a virtual certainty.
