by News Update

To put things in perspective:
1) an aeronautical engineer studies till at least 24 years of age at university / college level.
2) you can easily become airline pilot at 19 years of age (highschool + 1.5 years of flight school)
But salaries are way higher for pilots! Pilots still get salaries from the times flying a plane was difficult. But todays planes are completely automated. Its the engineers work that flies the plane.

Why WSJ is making these kind of videos is beyond me…

There is zero news-value in this type of content.

I don't like the way dangers of wake turbulence are being downplayed.

Got a question for the good captain. Can you fly through a storm by punching the throttle to the max like Denzel Washington did in that movie?

SUVRO June 20, 2021 - 12:36 PM

Should be a video on how to avoid turbulence while sitting on toilet 🚽. That is most fear for most people I think.

Spicy Crunch June 20, 2021 - 4:18 PM

everytime you fly you put your life in science, the age and maintenance efficiency of the plane, weather and the pilot… or secret powerful societies that control missiles on the ground

Just curious, does different pilot from different airlines got difference turbulence threshold?
Like when i fly to Korea i think many times turbulence warning but the flight is smooth (with few minor bumps), but when my flight back to Indonesia the turbulence seems stronger but the warning is lesser (like they only give warning for major ones), and domestic flight is worse, few times we got rocked by turbulence without any warning
