Wenger: European Super League would 'destroy' the Premier League

Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger believes that a European Super League featuring the biggest names in club football would ‘destroy’ the Premier League. ‘I don’t believe that Europe is ready for that,’ the former Gunners boss said. Wenger also warned that ‘if they get the agreement from the English big clubs, it will happen.’ This comes after the claims that Barcelona had agreed to joining the European Super League

I think he's right. It's only a matter of time before a #EuropeanSuperLeague happens, but remember, mo' money mo' problems!

The other big European clubs don't have anything to be zealous of English clubs in terms of silverware. The last decade Barcelona and Real Madrid won the Champions League 6 times and English clubs only 2. If anything, they want to have a share from the incredibly high TV contracts and sponsorship deals that could be offered for participating in the European Super League
