Tory leadership: Braverman backs Truss to deal with cost of living crisis

by News Update

Suella Braverman has told Sky News that Liz Truss has the “right plan” for dealing with the cost of living crisis and is the right person to lead the Tory party because of her tax-cutting agenda.

The Attorney General also said she would “welcome” a rise in interest rates, adding that the Bank of England has been “too slow”.

Who would ever want to take advise from this lunatic.

Bold and exciting Liz Truss, really, boring would come to mind, she not the most confident of MP's and has she actually achieved anything of note.

She did well. Ultimately though, we cannot stop this insidious political woke bullying, until we subdue the primacy of ECHR, even if that means as a last resort removing the UK from it altogether. I will not be supporting any candidate, or voting for any party at an election, who haven't acted, or have firm commitment to act to subdue ECHR de facto primacy.

Is this person real? Seems like an walking parody of half truths and reactionary talking point meant to appeal to gammons. What is the evidence of her views?

She’s pulling up the drawbridge

Truss doesn't know her arse from her elbow, I wouldn't trust her on the check out of tescos let alone the economy of the UK.

Looks like the ERG and their NF/UKIP/Britain First pals are out in force today all spouting how they love this vacuous clown…well I guess they would…so easy to manipulate and way too thick realise she is being used until she sees the landing lights at Rwanda Airport

A wasted opportunity. This lady should have been the next PM.

Meritocracy? What a joke. I wonder how many Tories actually worked hard for what they have, and how many had rich parents who paid for their private education and who waltzed into Parlaiment on the tendrils of wealthy family and mates, who work the same or less hours than the working class but still take our taxes and spend them on their own bloody energy bills whilst we all freeze and starve after a 40hr week in the office. Meritocracy my ARSE.

The word 'Woke' has been stolen from it's true roots and twisted into this ridiculous agenda-meeting term. The Right are so good at taking leftist movements and twisting them against us. Imagine thinking that being 'woke' is a bad thing – of course they'd rather us all stay asleep and let them continue to f*** us in our sleep! I'm PROUD to be woke! Discrimination, sexism, racism, oppression IS a bad thing, and no right wing agenda is going to make me think otherwise!

Andy Brown August 4, 2022 - 5:15 PM

Braverman is linked to the ERG, no surprise that she's backing their convenient idiot candidate.

How about sky does some actual journalism and does an investigation into the party within a party thats the real driving force in government desperate on destroying anything that might have once been great about britain and shattering the union? Will never happen because this broadcaster is in bed with them and more than happy to push the rhetoric and lies until it becomes unavoidable.

I do enjoy receiving my Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Emails. Always good for a laugh. It was Lughnasadh a few days ago and I knew nothing about the dates of celebration for the Pagans who work within the company.
