Olympic organisers revealed two athletes in the Tokyo village tested positive for the virus.

It came as the South African football squad also announced three positives, including players Thabiso Monyane and Kamohelo Mahlatsi. An IOC athlete also recorded a positive test result. It is understood to be former distance runner Tegla Loroupe, the chief of mission for the IOC’s Refugee Olympic Team, but this was not confirmed by The International Olympic Committee. The two unnamed athletes are the first in the village to be reported positive, adding to the uncertainty around the Games (pictured inset, Tokyo) that are to open on Friday after being delayed a year by the pandemic.

So maybe it's time to get back to life.
Because what are we saving if nobodies living.
