Theresa May livid as Michael Gove addresses Brexit security fears

Theresa May ridiculed Michael Gove’s claims that Brexit will help the UK to ‘intensify’ the country’s security and more effectively safeguard borders. The former prime minister was caught scoffing and repeatedly said ‘what?’ in disbelief as Mr Gove outlined how the UK will be expected to boost its security outside the EU. Cabinet Office minister Mr Gove claimed there are ‘many, many areas’ in which the UK can co-operate ‘more effectively’ to protect its borders after Brexit. Mrs May also appeared to mouth ‘utter rubbish’ at one point in his response to her speech minutes earlier.
