I never liked them both…but after watching this I'm convinced that Rishi Sunak is way better than his opponent. He knows what he was/is talking. He should be the PM.

Kay Beerly spending an entire night clubbing in the middle of lockdown and then being part of the mob that called a 15 minute surprise cake offering a party wondering why people don't trust the media… couldn't make it up. Then again I live in her hometown of Wigan, I see her level of stupid all the time. once upon a time it was only the politicians lying in these things…

Lockdown law breaker is wanting to be PM???. Disgraceful, and tories will lose election if he gets it!!

She says she doesn't have the detailed on the civil service pay policy. She was presented with the figures, feedback from Conservative colleagues and we got neither substance or insight in response. "I am the type of person that…" is not a sound basis for responding to policy discussion let alone running an economy. I wasn't impressed in the least.

It's quite surprising how people form decisions on things (and people) when they clearly don't understand the issues involved.

How the hell is Truss in the lead? Sunak is far more capable, it's night and day.

The Labour and Conservative parties are to blame for down scaling North sea oil ever since the SNP came to power, nothing to do with Putin, we had the means for UK oil…and it was put on the back burner for political reason at a cost of thousands of North sea oil jobs.

Corporate profits and CEO pay have gone up exponentially since the 80s while wages have lagged behind. I would've wanted to ask Liz if incentivising business with low tax and generous support from government is key to general prosperity, why is the evidence of the last 40 or so years showing that profits trickle up not down?

From the FT in May:
"Figures published last week by the Office for National Statistics showed average earnings in finance were 25 per cent higher in cash terms in March than the pre-coronavirus pandemic level, outstripping the 15 per cent growth seen over the same period in mean earnings across the economy as a whole."

The corporates have been doing alright Liz. It's the wage slaves that are hurting.

M Ahmadi August 5, 2022 - 3:24 AM

I have seen the debate
I truly believe Liz is clueless and not right person to lead this party to win the next election. Unlike Sunak which is truly knows what he is talking about and he is the one which can win the election. More I listen to him more I realise how special he is. Good luck to both

In Europe mainly in Spain and England (London is worst) there are an evil organisation that got free will to ruin people's life, called "gang stalking", this criminals don't be affected by inflation or any calamities. Government, police don't mind about what this gangsters are doing.

Sadly both candidates lack the cool;
