Remember Plaza Accord in 1985?? under which Japan, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the US agreed to push the value of the US dollar down against the Japanese yen. Japan was at the time an exporting powerhouse. Japan ran a large trade surplus and was blamed for US job losses. There were fears in Washington that Japan would overtake the US as the world’s largest economy. After the accord, Japan went into the " Lost Decade" that is economic stagnation and high debt. So the US is not new in undermining other economies. You are an ally to the US until you are its slave.

US should not help China for such a long time. China do not even realize that free market helped them sooooo much. We can product those things too, it will be more expensive but Chinese will also lose their jobs and farmers can also go back to the countryside. And they can thank it to Xi emperor.

China is a nation on thieves and morally bankrupt people. Any nation would be wise to shift its supply chain away from that country.

… it was once called "Free Market Competition", the "economical Bible" everyone believed since John Adam till this administration… Why inventing something again when someone already producing it… Hugely waste of resources when you can invest on something no one has ever done before – actually improve productivity and human life. In other words put the effort to benefit people instead of viled politicians or their nationalistic political goals.

china is lagging behind with the west specially in two things ti chips and aircraft engine blade. Trump is pushing up. China is not like Iran or Venezualia, its an industrial, and technological power house. Sanction will backfire.

US corporations pushed manufacturing to China so they could lower their costs and it ended up obliterating our domestic manufacturing. These dummies have learned nothing and only NOW look to diversify their manufacturing. T-square should have been the point when US cut all ties to China but to be fair both counties are fascist.

Get out of China . They are our enemy .

US global market will shrink and within 10 years, Chinese will have it better at half the price, and arm twisting, trets, sanctions…Washington, prepare all is going down the drain…policy under strain does not work…Washington will drawn their own companies…

It's foolish to think the U.S. is the epicenter of all technology. Nvidia couldn't manufacture their newest high end graphics cards without Samsung's 8nm technology.

Trump overestimated America's technological strength. Decoupling might just do equal amount of damage to the US if not larger.

USA attacked China first. China will have better technologies and cheaper too. My opinion we will see.

US lost the AI war, so they now resort to piracy. So much about US preaching on free market when they themselves cheat in the system. US has lost its credentials for doing business.

China could steal / Copy but can't develop on it's own

So in short, China is PROVING what orange 45 is saying. I can't stand Trump but if China isolates itself and then the government says "we are willing to help you and invest if you go along with our agenda" then it is proving the national governmental agenda is all that matters. Literally the government is going to forcibly marry itself to industry and become one big state…thus proving orange 45's point that all of their companies will be married to the government and instruments of the government.
