Steven Caulker on representing Sierra Leone at Africa Cup of Nations

by News Update

Former England international Steven Caulker has spoken about switching to represent his grandfather’s country, Sierra Leone, at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. After a 26-year absence, Sierra Leone is back at Afcon and started the tournament with draws against reigning champions Algeria and Ivory Coast. Caulker has returned to football after facing problems with alcohol and gambling. He is now doing charitable work in Sierra Leone alongside playing club football in Turkey.
