It's common sense why Republicans aren't jumping on this bill. As McConnell said… "Do not give President Obama any win's, even if it's good for the American people. Make him a one-term President." The GOP is doing the same thing to President Biden and the Republican base is too gullible to grasps whats going on and if they do, they would rather bite their noses off to spite their faces.
The Republicans don't like the bill for the simple reason that it helps average Americans. Republicans really hate average/poor people. Give 'em the rich any day.

Republican Senators side with big business because they ARE big business. Many own, or have huge investments in, big business. When the leave government, many go on to work for, chair or lobby for these same companies. The puzzling thing is why so many of their "constituents" continue to elect them even if it's against their own interests. Perhaps their addiction to right wing media keeps them ignorant and fearful of big business.
What we want, is to stop giving all our COLA's to the big insurance companies. (campaign contributors) This has been a decades old policy.

i want to hear more about pulling the carried interest loophole. This whole tax scheme should have been thrown out years ago. Every president for years has pledged to get rid of it, even Trump. But the financial industry has congress in it's pocket, both parties, so we continue to allow these guys to pay a 20% maximum tax rate on millions of income. I am sick of it. This should be an issue in every election until it is written out of the tax code. Sinema and others who continue to do the bidding of these investors need to be voted out and replaced by people not in the corporate pocket.
