Scotland's trawlermen look to Brexit to save their industry.

Last-ditch efforts are being made in talks between UK and European Union negotiators in an effort to avoid a no-deal Brexit.
The main sticking point is fishing rights, with France leading resistance to any move that would reduce access to British waters by its fishermen.
Fishermen in Scotland say they have found the going too tough for too long and are relishing the idea of tougher controls over the UK’s territorial waters.

Al Jazeera’s Andrew Simmons reports from Peterhead in Scotland, the UK’s most productive fishing port.

No Deal is the best option for British fishermen. The UK market is enough to sustain our own industry, but first we need to stop foreign boats from fishing our waters, only to sell the product back to us at extortionate prices. British fish for British fishermen!

I agree. Scotland should be free to fish in their waters but also to govern itself independently of the English

What about English boats fishing in Scottish waters? 60% of UK waters belong to Scotland…

Sorry guys, BOJO just caved in to EU threats and abandoned his so-called 'deadline'.
Spineless idiot, out flanked at every turn by a bunch of despotic sociopaths.
A world-wide jellyfish without compunction breaking his word to 70 million Brits.
He should be ashamed. He's toast now, and so are the conservatives. Untrusted.

I am beginning to suspect that the whole idea of getting the UK into the then 'Common Market' was for our fish!
And the UK fell for it at a huge loss to its once thriving fishing industry/economy!
Can't afford to make the same mistake twice!
