Russia must answer 'serious questions' on Alexei Navalny novichok poisoning, says Nato

Nato has condemned the poisoning of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny with the nerve agent novichok as a ‘disrespect for human life’ and ‘breach of international norms’. Russia had serious questions to answer about the case, the secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, said after reaching a unanimous agreement with Nato ambassadors

As a norwegian, I agree with Stoltenbergs message.
But, his english is embarrasing and takes attention away from the message. I really wish he would take the time to gain a better english pronunciation.

Ohhh big bad Russia stories coming back!

Why do the news/govt want to start a war with Russia?

Imo the west is playing a game of lure Russia away from China, and we saw that in the refusal to investigate further claims of Russian bounties on US troops in Afghanistan back in 2019.

I think Putin is wary of China anyway, and while the two continue to preform unilaterally in many areas I think China is feeling increasingly isolated, maybe they expected more out of Moscow to stop the US redeploying troops away from Europe, either way Putin is using the fact our eyes are to the far east to his advantage, with a bit of spring cleaning.

I thought this guy was on his way to Moscow at the time. Was treated in Moscow and then flew to Germany at the family request. Something does not stack up.

They also need to tell us why, if they had really poisoned him, they would allow him to go to Germany, for if they are as evil as we are led to believe they would have had plenty of grounds to not allow that.

Best thing to do is just accept that this is the way that Russia is governed, and move on. Causing wars and crises over ideology is pointless and achieves nothing. We have too many problems of our own to waste time dealing with something that doesn't affect us in any way.

'LOOK OVER HERE AT THIS!' The neo-liberal liars cry. Now that Covid is losing its ability to distract, they go back to Russia. The BIGGEST threat to the UK are these scumbags. At least their main mouthpiece, the BBC, is about to lose its right to be forced upon us.

    First and foremost:
NATO forces should immediately withdraw from former Soviet lands and eastern Europe. No big talk and complete surrender to Russia and its allies.
