This is so terrible, my hearts go to the families of those who didn’t survived, unaccounted individuals, and injured. Sending prayers 🙏🏼

On another note: this 80’s building shouldn’t have collapsed like this in U.S. which led me to believe investigators should look into Construction companies and their subcontractors who might have CUT COST and pocketed the rest!

If this happened from a sink hole opening up, wouldn't that put the area in danger? All the buildings in the relative area in danger?

Absolutely horrific. This is the reason I'm heading up to the hills…. I'd rather let a natural disaster claim me than die at the hands of faulty capitalism. Hope those 99 are accounted for and that some are still alive… May their families find peace in this heartbreaking time.

Destructive resonance might be the culprit. Those a/c units produce a lot of vibration and low level sound waves and sometimes the frequency produced could match the surrounding structure resonant frequency and it will practically vibrate itself to destruction. It could have been exposed to such resonance for decades until the concrete finally gave in.

Those people aren't missing, they're buried in the rubble. RIP.

Osher Ohayon June 25, 2021 - 5:33 AM

I appreciate the work of the rescue crews, but it seems to me that they are doing nothing, that they will start lifting the rubble, clearing obstacles and looking for survivors.

Everything seems to be there slowly they are just looking

Israel needs to send a Home Front Command team, there is a Jewish community there that has been harmed and it seems that the Americans are not doing enough.

Many critical hours have passed and they are doing nothing.

Mel Luques June 25, 2021 - 5:35 AM

D R June 25, 2021 - 5:35 AM

What are these morons doing ? They are just standing there… they should hire a couple of construction companies to start moving the rubble. People are probably trapped in there and they have hours still left and they haven't removed the rubble. All they have been doing is just talkin and praising one another that they're doing an excellent job and they haven't done nothing I still see the rubble and materials on top of the rubble.

You must stop killing each other.

Harvest the organs of ALL rapists, murderers, and traitors. Send the rest to Siberia one way.

Shave the heads of all, and i blame us for not eliminating the trash asap.

Much respect to Singapore.

Almost 800 killed so far in Chicago, and thousands wounded.

When a tragedy like this happens, the site immediately should be surrounded with construction equipment. Instead, it’s surrounded by news crews and vans
