about being "primaried"
from across the aisle πŸ€”
…he ends by advocating
that centrist Democrat Biden
be primaried in 2024

I agree that the DCC sucks for spending their contributions to elect a moron on the other side. If he wins the seat they get what they deserve–but we don't. And I also agree that there are so VERY FEW free thinkers in office in either party–they mostly all follow their "leader", whether they actually agree or not. It's almost like there should only be one person in each party in the senate and house since that is effectively what we have now.

"favor is not returned"! when we did the right thing for the country and one's own political party, is "a returned favor" in the calculation too? Expecting a "returned favor" by trying to rid a bad actor of one's own party? Other than voting to impeach Trump, how were these republicans' voting records? Absolutely along party line!?

CNN, while your main focus is on Trump, your president has the lowest ratings since WW2. Even his own party doesnt want him to run. Thats not news to you? How much more pathetic can you get. You really are disgusting . You are not a news channel you are a joke and the country agrees. With the exception of the small group, very small I might add, of people who are stupid or brainwashed.People you need to look aqt the news channels tatings and you will find cnn at the bottom.

If you want to know where the problem lies, it's CORPORATE money. You know, corporations are people, and which party has the bulk of the money, says it all. (follow the money)

Dems should have better sense on this. Meijer was a sensible guy

Magical Frijoles August 5, 2022 - 10:38 PM

All my fell left leaning friends hated that I abstained from voting in 2016. Sorry, not sorry, but I refuse to vote for bad candidates. I'm not choosing the lesser of evils and accepting table scraps. If a party wants my vote, you better put forth a candidate I can at least kind of get behind.

mark fairbanks August 5, 2022 - 10:38 PM

This is simple math and he knows it, having the Joker as the opponent will get Democrats a higher turnout and higher donations than the last minute funding the Dems spent in ousting Meijer. Meijer is being disingenuous when he says they (the Dems) don't have a set of values. They are protecting their values by doing this. Now the values happen to be the same values that the repubs have…Money and power.

He isn't admitting his f-up… he turned on PRESIDENT TRUMP.
NO FORGIVENESS ON THAT. I wish Trump would stop talking about his loss…. as I don't like his whining on that. If Trump runs and loses — that will be the reason.

Joseph Sermarini August 5, 2022 - 10:39 PM

I am a Democrat. We should not have supported his opponent.

tom sd August 5, 2022 - 10:39 PM

Republicans? No, they're communists, just with a different label. You wanted to impeach a duly elected president for absolutely no reason other than you hate him. You're fkung communist.

markdalbey August 5, 2022 - 10:39 PM

This is the type of man who you would want in Congress. The mission of any political party, Democrat or Republican is to get their candidate elected. It is natural for the Democratic party to want to run against the less electable candidate, the Democratic party just went a step further. They put money on the less electable candidate. This is a bit of a gamble though. If the less electable candidate beats your candidate, you don't get to whine, because you helped get him there. Democrats should Remember that this district elected a Republican before and the Democrat getting elected there is far from a slam dunk. This all misses the point though. The Republican party voted for the less electable candidate, this is who they want to represent them.
