RCMP erodes trust, in need of drastic measures amid ongoing mass shooting investigations

by News Update

Canada’s national police force is under strain and under the microscope. The inquiry into the Royal Canadian Mounted Police response to the 2020 Nova Scotia mass shooting is still ongoing.

After a series of investigations and lawsuits over sexual harassment, and amid accusations of political interference in the 2020 Nova Scotia massacre investigation, public trust is eroding in the RCMP.

I used to have a lot of respect for Mounties but these daysi feel like the rcmp are just the armed goons of the elites in Ottawa. They are no longer there to help the average citizens. I'm no criminal but I honestly dislike even seeing them in my community and want to have as little contact with them as possible. I had my shed broken into recently and some expensive property stolen but didn't even bother calling them. I know they won't do anything about it just show up and pretend to care and act like they'll investigate. They are basically useless.
