Rats Can Read Minds!

by Moin Uddin Ahmed Tipu

Rats can read the thoughts of other rats! A landmark study has shown that through a brain to brain interface, rats are able to to connect and communicate with one another. Trace has all the exciting details on what this “mind meld” could mean for us!

“A Brain-to-Brain Interface for Real-Time Sharing of Sensorimotor Information”

“A brain-to-brain interface (BTBI) enabled a real-time transfer of behaviorally meaningful sensorimotor information between the brains of two rats. In this BTBI, an “encoder” rat performed sensorimotor tasks that required it to select from two choices of tactile or visual stimuli.”

Nicolelis Lab:

“Two Rats Communicate Brain to Brain”

“It’s not quite telepathy, but it’s the closest anyone has ever come to getting a mammal to read another mammal’s mind.”

“One Rat Thinks, and Another Reacts”

“In an experiment that sounds straight out of a science fiction movie, a Duke neuroscientist has connected the brains of two rats in such a way that when one moves to press a lever, the other one does, too — most of the time.”

“Brain-to-brain interfaces have arrived, and they are absolutely mindblowing”

“In a stunning first for neuroscience, researchers have created an electronic link between the brains of two rats, and demonstrated that signals from the mind of one can help the second solve basic puzzles in real time — even when those animals are separated by thousands of miles.”

“Rodent Mind Meld: Scientists Wire Two Rats’ Brains Together”

“It’s not exactly a Vulcan mind meld, but it’s not far off. Scientists have wired the brains of two rats together and shown that signals from one rat’s brain can help the second rat solve a problem it would otherwise have no clue how to solve.”

“Brain Implant Allows Rats to Communicate Telepathically”

“This is totally the kind of mind-blowing advances we expected we’d find in 2013, growing up way back in the 20th century: a Duke neuroscientist was actually able to link two rats’ brains—using electrode implants—so that they could communicate through their minds.”

I'd like to be hooked up to a network of people. I imagine this would be like I were just an organ of a larger organism. I would likely become a we instead. Perhaps all problems in humanity would be solved if we all looked at things like this because we would be sacrificing individuality completely for integration into sapioplex.

We are all linked to each others' brains, it is the memory of nature and the essence of spirituality, hence the interconnectedness of living things.

i want to know if it would be possible to do this from parents to children. effectively catapulting them into society and making them have higher IQ's and younger ages. but would that just result in them not being able to control themselves when hormones come into play? if so would we be able to teach them how to control themselves in more effective ways? would we be able to cut out the selfish nature of humans, and then have them taught mass amounts of information. to the point in which humans become a super advanced race, where we conquer the milky way, and make exponential advances in science. would we have mastered space travel, nano tech, warp drives, and even turning planets into spaceships? would we have man made galaxies all stemming from sending our children our own brain signals so they can learn faster?

The electrodes could have been attached to the rats ass and it'd still have the same effect. They're just electrical impulses. This would work on humans.
