Prince Charles gets 'frustration' climate campaigners like Greta Thunberg feel – BBC News

by Moin Uddin Ahmed Tipu

The Prince of Wales says he understands why campaigners from organisations like Extinction Rebellion take to the streets to demand action on climate change.

But, Prince Charles said actions like blocking roads “isn’t helpful”.

Speaking in the gardens of his house  on the Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire, the prince said it had taken too long for the world to wake up to the risks of climate change.

He said he worried world leaders could “just talk” when they meet in Glasgow in November for a crucial UN climate conference.

I hear Google is going to ban climate change denial on YouTube. There is no greater form of climate denial than using air travel, or driving large SUV's and German luxury cars. I mean what type of message does that send to people when you do that? So let's start banning all YouTube videos that contain journalists and famous people who are climate deniers.

This is probably the first time I’ve seen/heard Prince Charles and actually agreed with what he’s said. Quite often he comes across as elitist but he talks a lot of sense here.

People like him have the influence to change what’s happening, and I hope he does.
