Pep Guardiola expects Manchester United to be serious challengers for this season’s Premier League title once they complete the signing of Harry Maguire from Leicester City for £85m – a world-record fee for a defender.
Guardiola was speaking after seeing his side edge past Liverpool in the Community Shield, winning on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
