Once at a party, I sat with six other people. Once, everyone sat with their smartphone either texting or checking fb. I was the only one with a phone from the middle ages, talk about social….

I update my status few times a year… -_- My life isn't interesting and I've hidden most people from my news feed. It's only annoying.

You shouldn't feel like an uninteresting person because you don't have or want to post things in media. I actually find people who use social media services uniteresting, don't make me even talk about the ridiculously irrelevant things they post.

IME sort of like that with Instagram

Why should you learn to stand alone? I mean the only reason that it would be nice is that when for some random reason your whole family and all your friends died… But that won't happen. And if it would happen you would automaticly learn it. Its what the human brain is designed for adapting.

I probably post on facebook once every few months. I usually only do when I'm feeling particularly useless and down and ruined, something like "So bored :P Any ideas?" makes me feel better. I imagine if I did this often it would have a MUCH different affect.

Fuck loneliness, I'm an introvert. I update my status about once a month, and they're usually not intimately connected to my life or feelings, just a funny thought I might have or something.

I personally have no idea which way to go. I do love posting updates to Facebook, but i find that it benefits me more if i post my feelings anonnymously on tumblr because there you can actually post the whole truth about feelings without people judging you or knowing who you are. Facebook i just don't understand and i do use it alot even now im just signed on in the background, but i do despise friends on facebook while im trying to spend time with them i have actually confiscated there phones off them if they do it too often lol

I hate social media with the burning passion of 9 suns.  9.  Not 10 or 14.  9.  I have a Facebook account, but on the rare occasion that I actually look at it, I lose interest immediately and I hate actually hanging out with people these days because they have their nose in their phone instead of actually socializing.  I have a picture on my phone of my girlfriend when her parents came to visit.  All three of them sitting on the couch looking at Facebook and she got mad at me because I got bored and decided to play video games instead of watching them use their phones, which she calls "visiting". lol

It seems like (to me anyway) the 2 groups that are the most obsessed with social media are bitchy young girls (12-29), and fat old lonely shitty mothers that hate their kids and life in general.

Social media has ups and downs. Plus social media is an learning curve.
