Nikola Tesla can be called the Tony Stark of the real world…
only he died poor.

Shows what the world seems to care about remembering.

My fave tesla invention would be the tesla engine!

Pengwinning June 4, 2014 - 1:03 AM

As far as I am concerned, Tesla can be considered the grandmaster of electricity. A school student can control DC but it took genius to harness AC

Reuben Stern June 13, 2014 - 11:43 PM

How about his wireless energy, that was turned down, because the fat cats couldn't charge for it, or his electric 90mph car

Allan Bond June 25, 2014 - 4:36 AM

The very fact that the Question "Have you heard of Nikola Tesla" even exists is an abomination,  Nikola Tesla = Absolute Champion Of Champions

Charlie Ward June 30, 2014 - 7:39 PM

forget to mention he wanted to market free wireless energy to the world and Edison was the one who made money and fame from it in the end

Andrea Perrault July 1, 2014 - 12:33 AM

Tesla is pretty awesome, very very awesome !!

MrSeekLoad July 15, 2014 - 4:49 AM

Not enough. Many people do not even know who Nikola Tesla is though all people know who Einstein is. Also many things Nikola Tesla made are still ignored today.

Toothygrin July 16, 2014 - 7:21 PM

Haven't watched the video. Dam right screw you Edison (egotist who wasn't smart enough to come up with his own dam ideas) Tesla invented the lightbulb yet Edison got the credit and when Tesla came up with AC current, Edison tried to discredit Westinghouse and Tesla by inventing the electric chair and saying look see how bad AC current is. it can kill people.

finished the Video. Tesla also before he died was working on methods of sending AC current wirelessly.  He was using his coils to send current over a short distance it wasn't very safe but the theory was cool. this was the point of the tesla coil though I think most people thought it made a cool light show so they didn't try to come up with something else.

Not to be annoying but Nikola Tesla was Serb. His father was priest (Serbian orthodox church).I'm just saying that Serbs were treated as second-class citizens in Austro-Hungarian Empire!

Forgot to mention one of his biggest inventions the fluid disk turbine.

I don't know whether we aren't celebrating Tesla enough, but we sure as hell don't give banksters enough asskicking.
By the way, another very inventive and intelligent person who could be put in the same genre is Viktor Schauberger. He observed nature and gained many amazing insights that helped him build efficient mechanisms and systems.

SexyDragonMaster October 14, 2014 - 1:10 AM

Not enough. Most people haven't even heard of him.

In school the main name tied with historical scientific achievements is Thomas Edison. Many of my classes have his quotes tacked up the wall and he is given sole credit for the invention of the light bulb along with other inventions that he actually had teams of other scientists helping. After all that is credited to Edison we would expect Tesla to at least be mentioned, I've looked through all my history textbooks for Nikola Tesla and all I found was a footnote. It's really sad that he isn't given he recognition he deserved.

David Daugherty February 25, 2015 - 3:07 AM

I thought everyone knew about this guy until I mentioned him to my family.  Only my dad had heard of him and he didn't know a single thing about him.  BTW, the Tesla Coil was weaponized in a way by the Russians.  It's called the Tesla Tower.  They use it these days to shoot lightning at planes to test their capabilities in severe weather.

The N-Word Man September 12, 2015 - 3:22 AM

I believe this goes without saying, Fuck You Edison. Actually, let's make that a Nikola Tesla awareness thing. #FuckYouEdison

Greatest Inventor ever born. We would not be as tech advanced as we are w/o him. Tesla was the Person of the Millenium. Unnoticed. Unrecognized. Unappreciated. His patents revolutionized our World. While our Schools never taught us about him. Tesla is true American Hero. His life story is extraordinary. One of the greatest stories ever left untold. There should be monuments and movies celebrating this man.

Stephen Parallox August 8, 2017 - 8:46 AM

Fun Fact about Tesla, and why he was a mad genius. When he died, the US Government seized all his notes and documents to keep them away from potential German spies.

anuar jalil August 11, 2017 - 11:52 AM

thanks, without him it will not be internet(sorry for bad English)

boxlessthinking August 30, 2017 - 1:21 PM

tesla coil is part of his radiant energy transmission and collection system look up radiant energy collector tesla. we walk in a sea of energy we are energy. just need a gateway for it to be usable like a wheel on a river theirs a river of energy we walk around in. see tesla said the present is theirs the future is mine. to all who black balled him from completing his most grand scheme of energy for everyone. they had the monies he needed to complete that scheme .. why no tesla in school maybe because someone dos not want anyone to go down his road it will lead you to this fact of energy is freedom and we are drenched in it.

John Batchler September 3, 2017 - 9:10 AM

he is more correct than Einstein was

PHH September 9, 2017 - 8:02 AM

The real inventor isn't edison. You can search it in google.
