New regional public electric car charging stations are being rolled out on the east coast | ABC News

The uptake of electric vehicles in Australia has been incredibly slow -accounting for less than one per cent of new car sales last year.

And they’ve really only been feasible for drivers in major cities who take short trips and have access to charging stations.

But a new network of fast-chargers is now being built.

The question is whether it will be enough for more people to make the switch.
