Mexico leader set to lose ground in crime-hit poll – BBC News

by Moin Uddin Ahmed Tipu

Mexico’s mid-term elections have been marred by one of its bloodiest campaigns, even in a country known for its drug cartel wars and soaring homicides.
A severed head was lobbed into a polling station and five workers were killed on the eve of the vote.

Early results suggest President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s Morena party and its allies will keep a majority in the lower house, but fall short of the two-thirds needed to approve major changes.

Many voters say the president failed to boost the economy and curb crime.

Mexico is going the route of India, Russia, Turkey Myanmar Belarus USA etc.

It's nominally a democracy but has become a One-Party authoritarian government.

There is no functioning national government in Mexico. Everything is controlled by the Cartels. Does not matter who coontrols the State structures. The streets are controlled by the various Cartels. BTW Cartels do more than kill people – they provide infrastruture, medicine and food.

This video wasn't bias at all huh 😅
The election was calm, some parts do have mayor violence problem but is not most of the country as this bloody description suggest.
Today violence is the result of several years of a failed strategy and a lot of weapons from our neighbor in the hands of crime groups.
