Met Police's Cressida Dick promises to crackdown on people ignoring coronavirus lockdown rules

The Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick has vowed that members of the general public ignoring the coronavirus lockdown rules will be slapped with an initial £30 fine and could end up in court if they do not pay.

It follows a video showing police telling sunbathers on Clapham Common that ‘this isn’t a holiday’, to return home and self-isolate.
