I haven't gotten a Mario & Sonic, since the second one, Winter Olympics… I'm getting this one for sure.

So this is why there were pixel glitching during the direct.

    Do I hear a hint of Sonic X ending 3 T.O.P?

The only thing I can say is “Nice.” There’s nothing else to say. It’s just nice.

What about icon countries, is there new countries added (besides Chinese Taipei, because why there is 3 Chinese nations, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and China itself)?

I would love to see SEGA reignite the Altered Beast franchise in 3D!!! It would also be awesome if SEGA would make a VOLTRON fighting game that shows emotional facial expressions when damage is being taken or given during a killer blow Quick Time Event that allows game play! The games are overdue and I think they would sell spectacularly in the West. There are a lot of ways that SEGA could go on the plot of a new Altered Beast game with all this gene splicing and human animal hybrids being created in science labs. Think outside of the box.

The idea of Mario going neck and neck in a foot race with Sonic is still absurd.

This is so cool!  I wish they give the choice for 8-bit and 16-bit sprites for Nintendo characters.  The Sega sprites are all 16-bit but the Nintendo sprites are all 8-bit.  Genesis does what Nintendon't!?  lol, j/k.

I felt like they should've have use the Super Mario World sprites, the 8 bit Mario sprites looked weird here but still, looks great.

Yes! 2D artwork baby! Looks hilarious.

They should've used the SMW Sprites

Why aren't both in in 16 bit? Or 8 bit? Sonic did after all 8 bit too…

While these Olympic crossovers may not be the Mario and Sonic clashes people have always wanted, it does show how well their respective art styles blend together.

That's nice and all, but WHERE'S OUR DIFFICULT SONIC GAME!

8 bit sprites with 16 bits sprites is a bad mix.

I hate this Character X Olympics stuff. Just a cashgrab, could have made something really original but no make it an olympia game
