But so from all the weight, wouldn't the buildings slowly sink?
This isn't 'new'…. Most of Auckland CBD (New Zealand) was built on man-made land. Same thing for Singapore. Also, most of Incheon, and the new city Songdo (South Korea) is also on man made land.
They used the same technique to build the World Trade Center in NY back in the '70s. 40 years later the Aussies are making a song and dance about it!
