On the Science Channel’s “Mammals vs. Dinos,” night time was the right time for mammals during the age of dinosaurs. Their nocturnal abilities to hunt and feed protected mammals from their predators and lead to further development of their ears.

Think he meant to say "turn night into day," and also the moon was huge in the time of dinosaurs so nights were brighter than they are now.
What? Was the moon really closer earth at the age of the dinosaurs? Then what did move it away later then?

@SpelKille It's constantly moving away but I doubt it was much closer at the age of the dinos.
I've always wondered what advantage allowed mammals to thrive after the KT asteroid.
