I miss mine his name was Fred he grew to almost 5 ft :( I got 3 after him but none were ever like Fred. When I was pregnant he would sleep on my belly and loved red sauce he was one of a kind …

I had two iguanas myself I adopted from a pet store. both were babies and unhealthy. The sicker one was names Ziggy and had calcified puss on her head from an untreated infection and had a respiratory illness. She had to be put down the first month we had her .The second Iguana I named Iggy (orginal name I know) had respiratory issues and was malnourished. We had to constantly take him to the vet for medicine and we noticed everytime he left the vet he seemed fine but later that day would lose a toe or get bloody scales. He ended up dying in his sleep after the four or five months I had him. Despite being sick when Iggy was healthy he was a cuddler and loved nuzzling between my neck and shoulder during documentaries we'd watch on animal planet. he used to lick under my ear and would only be held when he wanted to be held. he was an amazing and loving animal and im planning on excavating he and iggys skulls to put in a shadow box for display purposes. Id rather have them with me then under the ground. other than that they are wonderful creatures but taking care ofthem is a lot of work so please THINK LONG AND HARD BEFOORE BUYING IGUANAS.

I am thank full that folks like the lizard man exist because i have like 10 turtles at home and some we rescued the baby turtles are ones that hatched in the turtle pen.
