Kidnapped Mali opposition leader and French aid worker freed

A kidnapped politician and French aid worker have landed in Mali’s capital, Bamako, after being released as part of a major prisoner exchange.
The hostages had been held by an alliance of groups suspected to be linked to al-Qaeda.
