Keir Starmer says he’s ‘a man who can’t stand injustice’ as Labour face pressure in polls

by News Update

In just two days voters in many parts of the country will go to the ballot box to elect mayors and local councils across England, national parliaments in Scotland and Wales, as well as two by-elections.

Off the back of some grim polls, Labour is now ‘managing expectations’.

The party’s leader Sir Keir Starmer spent the day in north Wales on the campaign trail.

He spoke to us earlier and we asked him what exactly he meant by taking “responsibility” if, as looks likely, Labour loses the Hartlepool by-election.

I hate to say I do feel sorry for him as its a mammoth task He’s got repairing a divided party. But he needs to realise that theres some really dangerous MPs in his party who put the electorate off.

Labour are not fit for purpose, I'd rather see the Lib Dems as the opposition party.

Smarmy doesn't capable of facing up to why former lifelong working class Labour supporters like myself would sooner remove our hand with a rusty hacksaw than use it to place a cross on a ballot paper next to him. He conveniently forgets how he fought tooth and nail to overturn Brexit and was at the forefront of the campaign to demand a second referendum. But the image of Smarmy on bended knee in support of the BLM terrorists along with his gormless sidekick, Rayner (an intellectual simpleton who makes Vicky Pollard appear like Carol Vorderman in comparison) is pure gold-dust and worth 5 points in the polls on it own being the equivalent of Traitor Corbyn sharing a platform with IRA Adams. This of course is all inconsequential to the chattering classes of NW1 who believe public opinion extends no further than the letters page of the gutless Guardian comic.with its enormous circulation of around 100K luvvies and students.
