Iraqis march to mark mass protests anniversary

A few hundred Iraqis gathered in Baghdad’s central Tahrir Square on Thursday to mark the anniversary of anti-government unrest that erupted last year and to put pressure on the government to meet their demands.

More than 560 people, mostly unarmed demonstrators but also some members of the security forces, have been killed since a wave of popular unrest began on Oct. 1 last year, with both security forces and unidentified gunmen shooting people dead.

Protesters, most of them young, are demanding an overhaul of a political system they see as profoundly corrupt and keeping most Iraqis in poverty.

The protests have shaken the country out of two years of relative calm following the defeat of Islamic State insurgents. Infighting between political parties clinging to power has fuelled the crisis and threatens to cause more unrest.

I hope no one understands me wrongly. If he writes that I am a Muslim and the reason I am writing is that I am a Muslim, his goal is to tell you that I am a Muslim and love you very much regardless of your religion, because I respect all religions because I am. . Openness to others. A very beautiful thing, even if it is different from you as a religion and culture, we are human and I hope that we do not hate each other because love is the most beautiful thing in the world.💕😊🌷👏🏼🤝.

This is all orchestrated people. They come out with this news story about racist doctors in Quebec, because they are associating PROTESTORS and NATIONALISTS with Racism. The reason they are clamping down hard on Quebec is because Quebec has the highest number of Nationalists. When the riots start, Quebec will be the province to start it.
