Virtual worlds are for the most part new and exciting but they are also largely unregulated. Millions of kids across the country and around the globe are becoming immersed in the metaverse, where they can be exposed to hateful, violent or sexual content. Parents who allow this form of recreation for their children are negligent parents. Period.
Let's see how those little brains perform when they start growing into young adults. That may be too late to reverse any behavioral problems.
What a sorry world this is when parents think they have to give their children something to do with their time.

How about not letting the kid into random games with teenagers, and to mute mics when ever he isn't playing with his friends

If this, tik tok, instagram, live stream gaming and all these other social media platforms prevail plus our crime rate at its peak; this is on track to be one of the most depressing decades in the history of the U.S if not mankind🤷🏿‍♂️.

So a couple of points I'd like to make here:

1. Children shouldn't be given VR headsets, I'll go ahead and say that from the get-go. They're too young to be exposed to VR and parents should know better, especially when Meta and other VR headset manufacturers are "recommending" them not to.

2. The social platforms/games/apps that children have access to is mostly unrestricted and usually there is no enforcement of age guidelines within these platforms. There are no separations in age groups, once a player makes an account and logs into to say VRChat or Horizon Worlds and starts interacting with other players on that platform, they are completely vulnerable to anyone that engages with them.

3. News agencies are starting to paint the picture of how despairing this crisis beginning to bloom really is. From what I've seen, this is a rampant problem that requires regulation from both government and private enterprise to ensure the safety of children in virtual reality so they can be kept safe in the real life…

These issues exist on all gaming platforms, not specific to VR.

Top ten reasons why people under 13 should use VR headsets/metaverse
1. It is good for their mental health.
2. There are more good people than bad people in the metaverse
3. People under 13 using VR headsets/Metaverse is not a bad thing it’s a good thing and it is G rated.
4. I have seen someone under 13 using VR headsets with no issues.
5-10 metaverse is the best thing on the internet for somebody under 13.
Plus many elementary schools now have VR clubs especially with the metaverse they also have social media clubs as well.
