Nik Wallenda: Never Give Up
Tightrope Legend to Attempt Grand Canyon Crossing
“This summer is shaping up to be an exciting one as tightrope legend Nik Wallenda will attempt to traverse the majestic Grand Canyon—without using a harness—on June 23.”
Moment of Inertia
“Moment of inertia is a property of rotating bodies that defines its resistance to a change in angular velocity about an axis of rotation. It is how rotation of a body is affected by Newton’s law of inertia, which states “Every body perseveres in its state of being at rest or of moving uniformly straight forward except insofar as it is compelled to change its state by forces impressed.” In this context, inertia refers to resistance to change.”

Ha.
Ha.
I think a little part of all of us wanted him to fall.
Scratch on the rope?
It would be much easier if his pole had a kinda inverted U shape placing the center of mass bellow the rope so that even if he leaned too much the weight would torque him back into standing straight on top of the rope…
I'd piss myself.
You forgot the part where you chant "ooohh Jesus" in a sexual manner.
if he didnt have his pole he would hall instantly
its not skillfull at all
if thats so, I'm sure we'd all love to see you go do it and then upload a video of it.
anyone can do it
litterally anyone
Not everyone can spell.
oh i see
because i misspelled a couple words?
amazing
fucking amazing
Couple = 2.
You misspelt several.
so, with a lower center of gravity, probably women would have an advantage in walking tightropes?
i wanted to see a bird try to land on the pole
I came here because I want to learn how to be like Sly Cooper.
ĐI GIÂY…
Most of the physics here is either wrong, poorly applied or just plain irrelevant.
Thanks for explaining. I tried tightrope walking today. Made 3 steps. Aint bad.
is this about tightrope walking or a presenter in a silly jumper in the video 95% of the time, rubbish. waste of time.
Thx for the tutorial!
my dream is to bungie jump out of a helicopter
they also have lazer sharp focus
do more tight rope vids
This helped so much
If they have to keep moving how did Phillippe Petite lay down his back on a tighrope walk across the two world trade centers
Its good but it’s not okay I am 7
And I treyeastx
Thank you! Time to run away to the circus UvU
Title should be: How to talk about walking the wire without ever trying to do it. trust the dude, he's a physicist, he knows his theory.
