Hamilton ‘had it under control’ as he clinches record-extending 86th career pole at French Grand Pri

Lewis Hamilton said he ‘had it under control’ after beating Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas to pole position at the French Grand Prix. His third pole of the season puts him in a great position to clinch a sixth win of this campaign at the French Grand Prix. Hamilton has a 29-point advantage over Bottas and is 62 points clear of Sebastian Vettel at the top of the championship.
