(Ecclesiastes 8:9) "man has dominated man to his harm."

Human governments have been a failure since their inception. A person votes someone new into power, and the person is just as bad as the previous, or they are well-meaning in the beginning, but the system eventually corrupts their intentions. This pattern repeats itself no matter where you live globally and always ends in an outcome where the status quo remains unchanged. God created us in His image, which means he endowed us with many amazing attributes like love, justice, mercy, and free will. However, the one thing he never gave us is the ability nor the right to rule humans. That is something that exclusively belongs to God.

(Jeremiah 10:23) "I well know, O Jehovah, that man's way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."

Here's the fundamental reason why human governments remain a failure.

(1 John 5:19) "We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one."
(Luke 4:5,6) "So [Satan] brought [Jesus] up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time. Then the Devil said to him: 'I will give you all this authority and their glory because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.'"
