Firefighters battling fire at industrial precinct in Iran's Jajrud

Firefighters were called to warehouses 15 miles outside of Tehran on Tuesday morning after a huge fire broke out, the latest in a series of blazes to strike the country amid speculation of sabotage. The blaze broke out in warehouses storing manufacturing good including lumber and leather around 7am, and took fire crews six hours to extinguish – by which time the sheds had been gutted along with a nearby two-storey building. The most serious of the recent fires occurred last month at the Natanz nuclear facility, with Iran’s state-run media conceding that it could have been sabotage by a foreign power – casting suspicion on Israel and the US.
