COVID-19: Why China’s data on asymptomatic cases matters

China has for the first time released data on asymptomatic COVID-19 cases following public concern over people who have tested positive but are not showing symptoms. Such data has been a missing component in the country’s containment strategy thus far, professor of emerging infectious diseases Martin Hibberd told CNA.
China reported more than 1,300 asymptomatic infections on Wednesday (Apr 1):
