The last Democrat to take Georgia in a US presidential election was Bill Clinton, 28 years ago. Joe Biden hoped to break that record when he visited the southern state in the last week before election day.
Despite the deeply rooted Conservative ties with the state, polls are now suggesting Trump and Biden are neck-in-neck to take the state, partly due to increased turnouts.
