Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe, joined by the province’s chief medical health officer Dr. Saqib Shahab provided a briefing on the provincial response to COVID-19 on Wednesday from Regina.
Moe announced the province’s third COVID-19 related death, and also announced an extension of the province’s state of emergency for an additional two weeks.
While officials did not provide the gender or their location of the most recent death, they did confirm the individual to have been in their 80s. The first two deaths in the province were reported on Monday.
Shahab said that the province’s COVID-19 case curve is starting to flatten, as the total positive reported cases in the province are 193. He also said the number of hospitalized people remains stable.
