There have been more than 36,000 new cases of COVID-19 across Canada in the past two weeks, which is more than recorded in the first 12 weeks since the virus arrived in the country.
The message that social interactions must be reduced to limit the spread of COVID-19 is clear, but not everyone is heeding that warning. Contact tracing is proving difficult in some provinces, as people mask their behaviour.
As Mike Drolet explains, it’s hard to convince people to follow the rules when political leaders aren’t leading by example.
