Carl Nassib has become the first active NFL player to come out as gay, making the announcement in a video posted to Instagram on Monday. ‘I just wanted to take a quick moment to say that I’m gay. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now but finally feel comfortable enough to get it off my chest,’ said the Las Vegas Raiders defensive end. Respect tho the cajones on this man. Tough to do what he did.

On a side note tho I've been telling raiders fans for decades how gay the raiders are and they always got offended and thought I was a hater, when in reality it's just prophetic

I just want to take the time out to say that I'm straight. This means that my sexual orientation naturally draws me to women only. I will marry a woman and we will produce another human being(s) who will bear the likeness of the both of us. I'm generally a very private individual, but I think that nowadays presentation and visibility are so important. I also hope that one day statements like this will no longer be necessary, but until then I will do my part to cultivate a culture that respects all people. After all, there would be no LBGTEFG people without straight people.
