Bury FC expelled from EFL after 125 years

Bury, one of the oldest clubs in the league, has been expelled from the Football League after 125 years continued membership with the EFL. However, the governing body ran out of patience with the club’s financial situation and owner, Steve Dale. It looked like the club had been rescued with a takeover bid from C&N Sporting Risk, however the deal collapsed just hours before the deadline
