Solar panels and electrolysis? That's the breakthrough? I like the animation with all the hydrogen tanks, as if the puny solar panels on your roof could ever fill those up!

The tree are shrinking and expand so can there be some sort of presurizing system? Just like presure-cooker

guess what… look up carbon tax and carbon tax credit… bills, yeah they will never go away till we can live free and free of greed

that is great if they found a way to make electrolysis more effective because normally it is terrible. it is also good if you have a need for hydrogen. but they say batteries are expensive and ineffecient? that is wrong.

I think the idea that solar is no good because it does not run 24hr/ day is silly. we are not going to close down all fossil fuel plants when solar plants are running. how nice will it be to not be polluting whenever the sun shines. much better than now.

Great video but don't ever say you own "shit" they owned you for millions of years bra. But definitely a good find. And people say weed is bad for you "wink wink".

great videos. i also find another site that is similar with it.

Hydrogen is not the answer, converting electrical energy into hydrogen chemical energy and then turning it back into electrical will have a terribly hard time being more efficient than batteries. Instead of researching a solution that's rife with technical problems why not work on improving a system that's already developed?

G Money September 2, 2010 - 10:37 AM

im skeptical,
So your doing electrolysis with solar power, and using the hydrogen for fuel?

Electrolysis is very corrosive to almost everything, and you would need to replace whatever you are using for anodes/cathodes, unless it was platinum. platinum is not readily available, and is extremely expensive.

This "new" practice is futile when you start to realistically look at it.

Also, the 2nd law of thermodynamics. just use the damn energy you get in the first place.

Solar energy can easily solve the impending energy crisis in future.

@henrykay01 Oh! no shit! You're genius! and thereafter all it's FREE!!!? DON'T show your idea to anyone!
For sure THEY (oil companies) will kick your ass and kill you before you'll be able to collect any penny from naive people! Take a hide and fck yourself – IDIOT

@Frostlander Because they're not working

mackhaio5 April 14, 2011 - 8:32 PM

you store hydrogen in water
where it came from homie

Tomáš Turek June 12, 2011 - 11:09 PM

why dont just consume the hydrogen for energy production on the go ( at times when it is need it) ?? why there is need for storage?

Tomáš Turek June 12, 2011 - 11:10 PM

@TranshumanCyborg, to store hydrogen in batteries? post the link please. As far as I know, most efficient batteries are using lithium-ion technology.

Sunny September 2, 2011 - 1:57 PM

If it sounds too good to be true, then its probably not.

cheerdiver September 9, 2011 - 9:36 PM

Hydrogen can be stored on Lithium-6 at densities greater than liquid hydrogen. The problem is, the military industrial complex has made it illegal to sell Lithium-6 w/i the US.
True criminals.
The only LEGAL way is to make it, which requires a particle accelerator. And even then the gov wants a tax for running the PA.
The legal system is opinion enforced at gunpoint.
The technology is here, we are just not allowed to use it. How would the war criminals make a profit??

rawmo March 14, 2012 - 7:07 AM

This is old technology.
before prohibition on alcohol, that was the fuel EVERYONE used
cold fusion is decades old
lets get it together

Operation MINDFUCK in full swing…
"I own you, I finally can do what you do…" Raw B…sh.. !

You learn already at school that plants transform the energy gained via photosynthesis cyclus into "their" storage medium: sugar & starch ! Electricity ? NOPE.
"Super scientist" – give it a laugh !
