Brigid Kosgei breaks marathon world record by 81 seconds

Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei has beaten Paula Radcliffe’s marathon record. The 25-year-old ran a time of 2:14:04 in the Chicago Marathon beating Radcliffe’s 16-year-old record by 81 seconds. Earlier in the year the Kenyan become the youngest winner when she achieved a time of 2:18:20 in London.
