Boris Jonson “frustrated” as Test and Trace in England hits all-time low – BBC News

The Test and Trace system in England has had its worst performance so far, with the latest figures showing just 15% of test results returned within 24 hours and less than 60% of contacts traced of those people who tested positive with coronavirus.

Boris Johnson said he shared “people’s frustrations”. He had promised to deliver a “world-beating” test and trace system and had pledged that all test results would be available within 24 hours by the end of June.

The government has faced criticism for contracting private companies with little experience of community healthcare provision to run the test and trace operation.

Many scientists believe that the pandemic can only be controlled with an effective test and trace system which allows those carrying the virus to be quickly identified and isolated.

Sophie Raworth presents BBC News reporting by health editor Hugh Pym.

Why would anyone want to get a test if it allows the police to call on you to make sure you are self-isolating if you test positive?

It seems to me the only really effective test and trace programme has to be a very aggressive, proactive one like South Korea where they did it from day 1. They discovered a case, traced every single contact for that person, plus their contacts and made all of them isolate pending the results. The authorities also seized people’s phones in order to get GPS tracking data of where they had been and stayed to verify their story. Probably not lawful and not something that I would necessarily like to see but it seems to have been somewhat effective in Taiwan as well. And even these countries couldn’t avoid some deaths. It might be the only effective emergency pandemic response but it is quite a freedom to concede to government and seems open to abuse.

It just doesn’t seem to be the kind of policy that can be on a voluntary basis.

You are 20 times less likely to die with/from COVID-19, if you don’t have pre-existing adverse health conditions. All these pre-existing adverse health conditions are quite easily capable of being the dominant cause of death in any of these cases. As reported for Italy on 19 March 2020, for Britain on 12 June 2020, for the United States of America on 1 September 2020 and for Ireland on 8 September 2020.

This was as of September 27, 2020 when the CDC reported that the infection fatality ratio for each age group as follows: 0-19yo is 0.00003%, 20-49yo is 0.0002%, 50-69yo is 0.005% & 70+yo is 0.054% https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/new-cdc-estimates-fatality-rate-covid-19-drops-again-and-may-surprise-you

Imagine an illness so deadly you need a test to tell if you've got it. And what idiocy to concentrate so many people who think they might have it, at a testing centre. You couldn't make up the dishonesty involved in this covid lock step plan for tyranny.
