“Lo que el niño hace en los Talleres de Troonic, es descubrir lo que puede crear mañana”
En estos nuevo plan de Talleres Verano – 2014, todos los niños podrán armar y crear figuras de papel (Paper Robot); luego, con su imaginación crear y dibujar Comic de Robot; igualmente, diseñar, programar y darle vida a los robots en un videojuego; también a Modelar en 3D su robot; y, luego construir su robot en los Talleres de robótica y llevárselo

It won't show up in fukishima for the same reason current dumbots are not used. Money.
Would you send 500,000 dollar robot in there for a job where it has to be dumped or send a bunch of <50,000 tepco employees who are more capable and just are loyal to orders. they also self repair.

Micheal Donnellan October 23, 2013 - 10:16 PM

nope, if they cant even make a durable coating for a dumb doll. also thing about the weight. If the batteries fail you have a very heavy dead weight that may be seized up on you. Can you breath? get your girlfriend to just flop on your chest now try and see how easy it is to keep breathing with her on you.
current dumb dolls are 60lbs dead weight add in electronics and motors and the weight getrs closer to a read deab body, not fun.

+Eric Maier Discovery probably pays this guy and the other two, mainly, for entertainment. If you don't like him then don't join the other 370k subscribers or so. That simple.

giving robots free will is a bad idea for this planet full of shitty meatbags

Jennifer Gilmore January 4, 2014 - 3:40 AM

as i said before to these sort of videos robots can only take over if programed/coded to do so and if they are they might not even do it with force
they might do a court meeting or make robot rights but that is if they are advance enought to do so other whys there is no point

You know? I would replace all the package delivery employees with my area with them. REASON BEING, more then ten times i have looked out the window waiting for that fancy paint kit, or new abs plastic fill for my 3d pritner and watched them speed up, stopped at my mailbox and fill out there "No one was home" sheet, throw it in my mail box, and not even put up the little flag thingy. If it was a robot, it would probably come to the door. Which would not only be cool, but more convenient then driving into town, checking to see if my packages have shown up, then driving back out to my house which can be about 45 – and hour for a package that was supposed to be dropped off at my door a day ago. But fedex, you guys always knock, love you guys.

The 'robots' should have a mind like a dog(Not much but with the fact they're so loyal)  where it could attack us but very rarely and if it tries to kill us we should be able to flick a switch and it shuts down ! :) I'd love one of these guys, then my little brother could get pushed on wings while I'm sitting on my lazy ass playing COD or Grand Theft Auto V it could do shopping, ect

We are fucked! If you think there not going to put a gun in its hand and create a army of them your crazy ! Hello Terminator!

Ray Newton November 27, 2017 - 2:21 AM

4 years later and it's doing backflips

Dave from Tesco February 2, 2018 - 1:19 AM

Being afraid of Atlas is completely irrational. The idea of this machine is not to be a sentient killing machine, that would be stupid.

SevenDeMagnus February 15, 2018 - 9:10 PM

Hi. Not sure about advancing. It's great but the robots are all stuck in the perpetual prototype stage. God bless, Proverbs 31
