Ashes: Steve Smith ruled out as Australia try to fill 'unfillable shoes'

Australia’s Steve Smith has been ruled out of Thursday’s third Ashes Test following a delayed concussion inflicted by a Jofra Archer bouncer. Speaking on Tuesday, coach Justin Langer said that ‘when you take your best players out, it always has an impact’. After being struck on the neck on day four at Lord’s Smith continued playing after some testing. However, the next morning Smith failed the test with reports of headaches and dizziness.
