'A top, top human being': Solskjær praises Rashford's free meal campaign

Speaking about Marcus Rashford’s campaign to extend free school meals over the summer holidays, the Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, said the club’s forward is a ‘top, top human being’. Rashford spoke to MPs and Prime Minister Boris Johnson and managed to reverse the decision by the UK government to stop the free school meal voucher scheme, which had been introduced in March in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Rashford reflected on his own childhood experience of relying on free school lunches and, after mounting pressure at the beginning of this week, Johnson announced on Tuesday the scheme would continue through the summer.
