9/11 tribute lights up New York night sky | USA TODAY

Two parallel light beams will light up the sky to represent the fallen skyscrapers as part of the annual Tribute in Light public art installation.

Bells tolled across New York City, President Donald Trump spoke at the Pentagon, and moments of silence were observed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and across the nation Wednesday as America commemorated the 18th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

    I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I was in high school and saw the news skipping school and watching the towers hit the WTC ON TV.

    The 911 memorial page States the lights in tribute to 9/11 are supposed to stay on From Dusk Till Dawn of the following morning how odd 11:46 there have been no lights on for the past half-hour what the hell happened to the supposed tribute
